The 2 for 1 buffet ends at 2 PM and at that time a Casino employee gets at the end of the line. We will try it again but probably mid-week when the prices are lower and hopefully the crowds shorter. the Pala Casino's buffet or the Valley View Casino’s buffet - Morongo’s really lacks in quality. If I compare the Morongo’s buffet against e.g. All low cost cheap items that you would expect to find at a home town buffet. The deep fried shrimp was very good but the orange chicken was over cooked and the orange sauce was not very flavorful, the fried rice was also good. No Chili Relleno, fajitas, Chimichanga’s and the enchiladas looked soupy. The Sunday buffet was the international menu so there was a lot to choose from but for instance the Mexican dishes were low cost items like make your own tacos, refried beans and enchiladas and another dish that looked unappetizing. Since we took advantage of the 2 for 1 Champaign offer I will say it was worth the $26.95 we paid but definitely not worth double that. I'm somewhat surprised by all the rave reviews. We actually made it in in 1.5 hours but still a long wait. I had read the reviews and they were pretty accurate about the 2 hour wait. I took my wife for the Sunday champagne brunch for her birthday after a trip up the Palm Springs tramway.
